Walpole Awards
Launched in 2001, the Walpole Awards for Excellence is held to honour individuals and companies who exemplify British Excellence by their work and achievements across design, craftsmanship, business, culture and sport. The awards are presented annually at a reception hosted by British icons, most recently Joanna Lumley, Stephen Fry, Simon Callow and Natasha Kaplinsky at The Banqueting House, Whitehall.

Walpole has announced the award winners for its annual awards ceremony which took place on Monday 16th November 2009 at the Banqueting House in Whitehall; this year sponsored by Kuoni, one of the world's leading travel organisations. Each year, the awards recognise some of the world’s most outstanding brands and individuals. This year Walpole awarded the Medal of Excellence to the globally acclaimed photographer, Mario Testino.
